Examines selected and changing topics in the study of oceanic visual culture. The specific topic varies with each offering in order to keep up with recent directions in scholarship. Possible topics include: archaeological material and visual cultures; colonial-era images, objects, and spaces; architecture and environments; performance; gender; race and ethnicity; modern/contemporary art and visual culture; and/or a regional focus. May be repeated for credit. (General Education Code(s): CC.)
