Michelle Yee, who defended and filed her dissertation in Summer 2021, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Global Contemporary Art in the Department of Art History at Virginia Commonwealth University. Michelle begins her new position in August 2022. She will be teaching courses on contemporary diasporic Asian art. Michelle is delighted to join the excellent faculty at VCU and to be a member of the VCUArts community. She looks forward to continuing her research on race and representation in the vibrant and diverse city of Richmond, Virginia.
