Ginny Duncan curated the exhibition Ritual Clay: Cathy Lu, Paz G, Maryam Yousif at the Manetti Shrem Museum at UC Davis. The exhibition brings together ceramic work by three contemporary Bay Area artists who are united by their shared interest in clay as a link to the past and as a conduit of cultural knowledge. The show highlights how each artist channels ancient archetypes and spiritual mythologies as a way to reckon with inherited histories. The exhibition is on view through December 29, 2024.
