Amanda M. Maples accepts position as Curator of African Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art

After serving as the Cantor Art Center’s Curatorial Fellow in African and Indigenous American Arts at Stanford University, Amanda M. Maples has accepted a permanent position as Curator of African Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art to begin August 1, 2018. Returning to her home state of North Carolina, she hopes to continue to engage the region’s public in the global beauty and power of Africa’s arts through ground-breaking exhibitions, publications, and programming.
