Rearticulating the role of the museum in order to be responsive and relevant in the world is a constant pressure in today’s world. With over thirty years of experience in the museum field as academic, author, staff member, and now, consultant, Anderson will call on her work and observations of museums and the challenges of institutional revitalization. Her talk will touch on issues of leadership, institutional capacity, and trust as it pertains to change and reinvention. Using her book, “Reinventing the Museum: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Paradigm Shift” as a springboard, she will weave her points around some of the core principles presented in “Reinventing.”
