Jordan graduated with a Ph.D. in Visual Studies with research specializations in photography, media, and LGBTQ studies. They have an impressive record of scholarly and creative activity that includes: participation in nearly thirty exhibitions in California, New York, Oregon, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts (in the United States), and Guadalajara (Mexico) -- including 4 solo exhibitions; several published references to their photographic work; more than two dozen scholarly presentations and artist talks; an emerging publication record (2 published + 2 submitted articles); and an accomplished independent teaching record. Jordan's contributions to HAVC's teaching program have been outstanding -- they have demonstrated extraordinary care and commitment to undergraduate education through personalized instruction, innovative curriculum, and creative pedagogy.
