Katie Ligmond (2017 cohort) has been awarded a THI fellowship to participate in the 2021 virtual National Humanities Center Graduate Student Summer Residency Program. The 2021 program will focus on “Meaningful Teaching and Learning in the Humanities Classroom,” giving participants an opportunity to gain new skills teaching undergraduate students that can be modified for in-person, virtual, or hybrid courses.

Since 2015, the National Humanities Center has offered PhD graduate students in the humanities an opportunity to learn about and experience best practices in teaching and learning. Each year, a cohort of students work in small teams to address a relevant theme and create group and individual instructional materials.
