Kris Timken in Conversation With Lucy R. Lippard and Marie Lorenz at the North Brooklyn Boat Club

The North Brooklyn Boat Club is a boating advocacy group that encompasses kayakers, sailors, environmentalists, and activists, all devoted to cultivating nautical culture in the tristate area’s creeks and canals. In April, the Club invited Kris Timken, author of The New Explorers, to discuss the twelve contemporary female artist-explorers featured in the book, in conversation with art critic Lucy R. Lippard, who wrote the book's introduction, and one of the twelve artists, Marie Lorenz.
