Maxine is a fourth-year HAVC major with a concentration in Curation, Heritage, and Museums and an Education minor from Oakland, CA. She is interested in decolonizing and reshaping museum institutions to become more representative of different identities and perspectives. She believes art is a vehicle for change which should be more widely accessible, especially in schools. She aims to be involved in both a curatorial space as well as the education field, providing artistic tools to aid younger generations in speaking out creatively. She has struggled with anxiety surrounding school before and is more than open to share experiences, provide comfort and advice, or help answer any questions about HAVC in general!
