Ellen Takata gave the presentation If You Give Three Loud Screams, I’ll Come and Help You: Changing Stories around an Image of the Rattersdorf-Köszeg Border in the Photographic Books of Furuya Seiichi, 1985-2014 on June 13th at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, for the third biennial conference of the Israeli Association for Japanese Studies.  Addressing the narrative possibilities of image arrangement, she followed a photograph through four decades of different uses and changing relations to personal and historical issues.
