Kristen Laciste received UCSC’s Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning (CITL) Graduate Pedagogy Fellowship

Representing the History of Art & Visual Culture department, during Winter 2018 Kristen Laciste received UCSC CITL’s Graduate Pedagogy Fellowship and participated in a program along with twenty other graduate students from various departments across campus. During this program, she learned about research-informed pedagogical principles and strategies that have the potential to enhance teaching and promote student learning. During Spring 2018, she continued to work with CITL staff and the HAVC department to revamp the current HAVC TA Training Program, which will go into effect this upcoming Fall. In conjunction with CITL, Kristen is working as the Arts Division Summer Graduate Pedagogy  Mentor, offering support and resources for instructors teaching during Summer Session I. During Summer Session II, she will teach HAVC 117 – Contemporary Art of Africa.
